After the concert, there will be a reception in the lobby. We will recognize all GBYO graduating seniors � all GBYO members are invited to attend. (Seniors definitely need to be there!)

- Please arrive at the scheduled time (and not significantly earlier or later).
- Only students and designated parents should be in the backstage area or hall.
- Student performers should enter through the stage door on Cathedral Street. The Recital Hall is located down one level from the street entrance.

STUDENTS: BRING ALL MUSIC AND YOUR FOLDER TO THE MEYERHOFF. REMOVE ANY PERSONAL MUSIC AHEAD OF TIME - FOLDERS WILL BE COLLECTED WHEN YOU COME OFF-STAGE.

Raffle Tickets
Thank you to those wonderful people who turned in their raffle tickets on time!!! You are officially on Mollie�s favorites list.
Those of you who did not turn in your raffle tickets : PLEASE BRING THEM TO THE MEYERHOFF TODAY!!!!

Summer Communication
Although this is our final concert of the season, stay tuned to the GBYO emails and letters coming out. We plan to have �conductor auditions� over the summer, and want GBYO students and families involved in that process.

Auditions
We are scheduling auditions for new students right now! If you have any friends that may be interested, have them get in touch with Mollie right away. 31 graduating seniors leave a lot of places to be filled!
Returning members will have their auditions in late summer, before the start of next season. Scheduling will begin for that in July and August.

Concert is TODAY! Students should report at 3:00 p.m. for warm-up, and the concert begins at 4:30.

Posters are ready today for pickup � please take some to post around your school or community centers. They have information about the Meyerhoff concert as well as auditions, so we need them as wide-spread as possible!

Last night�s Musical �May�hem event was a great success! Thank you to all of the people who pitched in to organize and run it, who donated items, and those of you who took the time to come out and spend the evening with us!

Student Information
All students will be asked to fill out a short questionnaire at rehearsal today, indicating their plans for participation next year. This will help us identify our openings for recruiting students next year.

Auditions
We are starting to schedule auditions for next season. If you are a member of the Sinfonia or CS, and would like to audition for the next group, you will need to sign up for a time. Mollie has the schedule � you can email her or speak to her directly at rehearsal.
Returning students who are remaining in the same orchestra do not need to sign up at this time.

Shout Outs
If you�d like to place an ad in our season finale program book, orders are due by May 10 (next week). Extra forms will be available in the lobby.

National High School String Orchestra
The application and audition deadline for the National High School String Orchestra is now June 15. Selected students will participate Feb 16-20, 2010 in Santa Clara, CA performing Mahler's First Symphony with conductor Scott Speck. Details are at:

Take the steps down into the lower level of the building.
After entering, turn right and continue walking until you reach the elevator.
Take the elevator to the second floor.
If you prefer to take stairs, the stairs are adjacent to the elevator.
When you exit the elevator, McGuire Hall is straight ahead.

� If you are traveling south on Charles Street, make a left onto Cold Spring Lane.
Follow the directions above.

� If you are traveling east on Cold Spring Lane, cross over Charles Street.

so now we need to find pictures, clips, and music that we can use in the video. I'm not going to do this for you guys since I'm writing the whole script, so it's up to the rest of you to find things to actually put in the video.

Micah mentioned wanting to change the comparison to jazz- Micah, if you want to do this, we can do it, you just need to let us know.

I can try to write a brief script that compares classical music to other genres based on the list of ideas we came up with, if someone else can handle the art vs. entertainment part of the question.

Advance Tickets for the May 2 Fundraiser Gala and Silent Auction will be available at rehearsal today. Park your car for a minute and come inside and pick up some tickets!

Flower Sale
Flower Sale Fundraiser orders will be available for pickup next weekend, April 25 and 26. On Saturday, April 25, flowers will be available for pickup at Timonium between 10 a.m. and noon. On Sunday, orders can be picked up during rehearsals.
Extra flowers will be available � mix and match 3 for $5!!!

Raffle
Reminder: students were given raffle tickets at the last rehearsal, which we need to get sold. The raffle is another important fundraiser for the GBYO and this year we have some great prizes: an iPod Touch; a Wii; and a GPS for your car.
Here�s how it works: Each student is asked to sell a minimum of 10 tickets. When the tickets are sold, return the money and stubs in your labeled envelope to Mollie. Deadline for ticket sales by students is May 17. Any unsold tickets must also be returned in your labeled envelope at that rehearsal.
The raffle will be held at the Meyerhoff concert on May 24.

DBR Merch!
There will be some of Daniel Bernard Roumain�s promotional items (CDs, etc.) available for sale today. Stop by and check it out!

Shout Outs
Attached to today�s announcements is a form to place a �Shout Out� ad in the season finale program book. This is a neat opportunity to thank, honor, or congratulate a special person or group. Parents, you could embarrass that graduating senior with a silly baby picture, or congratulate a young student on their accomplishments this year. The sky�s the limit!
