Join the GBYO for an exploration of mind and sprit transformed, with music from Symphonie Fantastique, Tristan, "Altered States" -- and works by Ravel and Saint-Saƫns, featuring the dazzling gifts of guest artist Tai Murray.

Since making her debut with the Chicago Symphony at age eight, Tai Murray has performed extensively as a violin soloist with orchestras across the United States and Europe, and as a chamber musician with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center II and the Ritz Chamber Players. Ms. Murray is past winner of the Indiana University Concerto Competition and the Julliard School Concerto Competition, and is a recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant.

All new students whose audition applications are received by May 24 will receive one complimentary ticket to the GBYO Concert at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall on May 25 -- the ticket will be held in your name at the ticket table on the day of the concert.

Now in their thirtieth season, the Greater Baltimore Youth Orchestras provide student musicians with a thorough classical music and orchestral education while offering audiences concerts of music ranging from well-loved symphonies to cutting edge contemporary works. Three ensembles comprise the GBYO, the full-sized symphonic Youth Orchestra, the intermediate-level Concert Strings, and the beginning-level Sinfonia—and a new BRIDGES program offers beginning instruction to underserved youth in the city. The GBYO ensembles are in residence at Loyola College in Maryland.
